03/2020: COVID-19 statement from UGA Biopharma GmbH

Dear valued customer, partner and friends of UGA Biopharma GmbH,

as all of us, we also closely monitor the fast-evolving situation of the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

Up until now, the current situation has no major impact on the functionality of our company! Our experiments and cell line development services, as well as our business development activities will continue without substantial limitations, including the delivery of your products.

 

The health of our employees and customers is very important to us, therefore we closely follow the current events, and strictly act compliant to the recommendations provided by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) and the “Bundesministerium für Gesundheit” (the German Federal Ministry of Health), to minimize the spread of COVID-19.

 

Therefore, UGA has already implemented several important measures and precautions: (1) We have canceled all events and associated business travel plans until further notice, to reduce external contact points, (2) We implemented a shiftwork system, to reduce internal direct contact, (3) We ensure max. possible distance in our offices and reduce present employees in the offices to a minimum, (4) Whenever possible, our non-lab employees work from their Home-Office, but stay in close contact with our lab members via online meetings, email and phone, to ensure maximum success of the running projects, (5) All UGA employees were obligated to follow the recommendations of the RKI in regards to e.g. hygiene and contact minimization.

 

This action points guaranty that UGA will stay in full force even during a pandemic crisis. All of our ongoing customer projects will be handled as usual. However, all this might change rapidly upon unpredictable future developments, for example in regard to government restrictions, or because we have to adopt/change meaningful rules to secure our employees.
